Author of Life Happened
Normally I don’t read thrillers, but I like the way you write. I can feel I am in the middle of London(!)
I love the whole premise of an ordinary man sucked into an extraordinary vortex of terror…can’t wait to read more!
When I started reading your book, I was captivated by the very first paragraph. From then one, I was hooked. The way you write almost made me feel like I was actually there. It was thoughtful and captivating, I can’t wait to read more!
Excellent espionage thriller featuring a unique central character and a plot that twists among the past and present relentlessly. Highly recommended!
Interesting and fast paced, And the Wolf Shall Dwell, draws readers in with suspense while placing them firmly behind the protagonist by making him relatable and engaging at the same time. Rather than John Everyman, we are given a three dimensional person which makes the reader all more involved with the story. I look forward to reading more.
This is an exciting read. The few chapters I read leave you wanting more. The author draws you in and doesn’t let you go. I just ordered the hard copy as I have to know how this ends. I also love the interaction between the different agents and police. It can be a bit on the funny side what they think about each other. Congrats Joni, you have a winner with this book.
I love the authenticity of the description of John’s essentially mundane commute into work through London. Being a Londoner it resonated with me and I particularly like the commentary around the small adjustments made to make the route to work as efficient as possible (his reason for cutting through Liverpool Street Station, a simple decision leading him down a path he never anticipated).
I have also read and felt very engaged with the second Chapter and the character Grey. Keep up the good work!
Great, intense beginning and definitely holds your interest from the start.
Great sense of atmosphere. Gas-lamp spooky London-perfect for a thriller
I’m immensely intrigued!
Very well written and paced into “The Hook!”You have a fan HERE!
I really like the descriptive language and the way you can vividly see in your mind exactly what is on the page.
I am always so pleased to find another author I can read . Joni Dee is definitely going to be one said author ! I loved it . Of course I am a sucker for all things British 🙂
The imagery is fresh and innovative. I feel like I’m right there in the London station
